Thanks!!!

Before X'mas comes to a close (and the Chinese New Year songs start playing in shopping centres)... Just want to shout out a "Thanks!!!" to all for showering Nic, myself & even Baby with presents! LOL... Even before Jayvon's born, he can enjoy his very first PRE-Christmas! =)

And his presents are so cute! Check them out...

My only concern... Can Baby fit into these very pretty clothes?!? Hahaha...

Check out his SEVEN pairs of socks!

Thanks to all the Aunties that bought these things for him. Very much appreciated! :)

Christmas @ City Harvest

And it is finally over...

Since Dec 22, Sat, we have had a series of Christmas services, both at Expo and Jurong West & I have seen the X'mas drama a total of 5 times! Am very proud of our drama team, for putting together this great production!

Oh... And three cheers for my cousin Carol "Anna" Marsh too! LOL... It was a treat seeing her act on stage, and she did such an EXCELLENT job! Especially when she had lines in Chinese. And though she has taken Chinese in school, much of it has faded due to un-use! So - jolly good job, coz!

Saw many new (and old) faces over the past few days, and it has been gratifying for me, to see most of my members really rising up to invite their friends. By far, the MOST EVANGELISTIC award goes to none other than... drumroll... Audrey (7 frens!) & Hen (5 frens - and 5 decisions!!!)! Solid la... You two make me very proud!!!

I was so tired out today, cos mom had a X'mas lunch party today as well. Soon as the last of our friends left, Nic & I collasped @ 6PM... I only woke at 11PM to do some envelope-keying. (He? Still concussed...) We stayed up to an eyeball-popping 430AM the night before... Doing what? LOL... Last minute Xmas present wrapping! Haha...

Now preparing to get back to my "happy place" and sleep!!! =)

Jingle Bell Rocks!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I probably won't have much time to blog over the next few days, cos we'll be b-u-s-y @ Expo!!! =) Am looking forward to the drama production ... and my cousin Carol's in it too! Fantastic la!!!

Nic & I spent the most of today shopping! We finished about 90% of our X'mas presents (yay!) and also managed to buy some baby products. Will blog more when I have the time...

So let's get ready!!! Christmas is a-coming! :)

Camp Pictures!!!

Thanks to Yang Zheng... These are some of the pictures & fond memories of the camp... Enjoy!!!

Wenling & our Camp Commandments - Johnson & Meiyan doing the official camp opening! It begins!!!

Ps Yock Kiang... Preaching a great message on BBQ night! He spoke on the the paralytic man & his four faithful friends - and how we all need to have friends like them, that will bring us to where we ourselves cannot go!

It's a BIRD.... It's a PLANE... Nope! It's a FLYING CHICKEN!!! Only Yang can get such a classic shot while the Captain's Ball Fight was going on!!!

Parting shot of our campers!

Shopping Day!

Woke up bright & early... Amazing considering this is a MONDAY, no less!

Am looking forward to my shopping day with Nic. He applied for leave, so that we can shop for (1) Jayvon's things (Finally!) and (2) Christmas presents (loads and loads and loads to buy!!!).

Also gonna meet my sister Jaclyn later, who wanted me to bring her to a hair salon to cut & colour her hair. Meant to bring her to Audrey's, but as I'm going down town to shop, decided that going Far East is also a good option la! Hmmm... how time has changed. When I was younger than her, I already *ahem...* sneaked behind my parent's back to do my hair. Now? Haha... She has the 'liberty' to come right out to colour her hair AND ask my dad for money to do it... *shake head*... times are different indeed!

Gearing Up For Friends...

Tradition... to Transition... to Transformation!

This was Pastor Kong's sermon for this weekend, and it was a very, very good one! Pastor spoke on Zacharias and Elizabeth, on how though Zacharias prayed and prayed his entire life for a child, but when the promised drew near, he froze up and couldn't follow through with it. Whereas Elizabeth's wisdom kept her hidden from her critics for the first 6 months of conception... and when you consider the 'natural' facts, what Elizabeth did was very, very wise indeed. Considering the changes of a miscarriage decreases exponentially as the months go by, she protected her then-unborn baby from suffering a miscarriage due to the doubts or mockery of the people!

For me, it was only in my 6th month (thereabouts la...) that the bump became more prominent (making me say this phrase often: "Oh yeap... I am pregnant, not just fat." Haha... vindication!)

Anyhow, back to the sermon, I was very very inspired, both by Pastor's message as well as the recent BUZZ in the office of how the board members & staff are practically ALL having personal friends this Christmas! So I went all out to call, email and SMS a total of 4 backsliders and 5 friends... And to date, I have 3 friends confirmed! Yippee... For the rest, another 3 are still planning out their X'mas plans and havent confirmed yet. Now I'm reaching out to another 10 friends, and hope to bring the final number of friends coming to at least 8! :)

Another initiative that Shilin brought up to me on Sat morning was to do house-to-house caroling. Well, I must confess I wasn't keen when I first heard of it... Haha! But after mulling about it over my MacDonald's lunch (food does wonders for my mood & thought process), I decided it was really a very good idea! I decided to change the venue of our caroling to the Marine Parade area... Why, we can even carol @ the units of my private apartment! What makes it ideal is that CG is at my Marine Parade house, so the contacts we make will be also open to just come for CG later on! We can also get nice small gifts to bless each family & also invite them down for our X'mas service!

The harvest is truly plentiful!!! =)

Breakaway Camp!!

BREAKAWAY CAMP!!!

It was a FUN... TIRING... FANTASTIC past three days!

Loads of new friends made, lots of previously-hidden talents uncovered, and I think the members had as much fun as the committee did!

My main game was the surprise "Game Of Life", played at a staggering 5AM on Tuesday! Though the leaders (especially ME!!!) were super tired out & sleepy, we wanted to make the night game fun & exciting for the members! Seeing them mill around playing the station games was gratification enough!

Physically I'm still recovering from this very tiring camp... LOL.... Will try to put up pics when Yang is done with them! :)

Work-Work-Work!

Been busy the past few days, with the upcoming zone camp preparations (9-11 Dec! Woohoo!), work-wise with the year-end just round the corner, and of cos, with Christmas coming up as well!

So things are busy-busy-busy!

I half-thought things would kinda slow down, especially after the end of the audit. BUT... Life always goes on! Haha... But I am enjoying myself. Only 7 weeks more before I can officially call it quits (albeit temporarily) for a good month or two, as Baby Jayvon's born. But till then... WORK is GOOD. Altogether now... WORK IS GOOD. Yeah! Hahaha...

Alrighty... Back to work! :)

Rain, Rain, Go Away

... Come again another day!

What a totally wonderful day to be snuggled in bed & zzz-ing!!!

BUT: Reality hits and we're all in the office trying to be as productive as possible.

Please come back again, Rain, when I am on an off day!

Boring Monday...

Had an extremely low-key Monday.

In other words... a boring Monday.

Reason: My legs kept cramping since morning, so I had to "rotate" between sitting on a chair, at my sofa and on the bed, keeping my legs inclined and the blood flowing best I can.

Result: Stuck in the house the entire day! What a wasted Monday... SIGH-SIGH-SIGH! I managed to finish the rest of the Season 2 of Grey's Anatomy, but that was about the extent of my productivity.

Ah well... Here's to a better week ahead! LOL! :)
